Push

Connect your backend with Google and Apple push services in under a minute and have backend and frontend support for push notifications - start engaging and informing users manually or with backend logic.

Every app should support Push Notifications, and ApiOmat eliminates the need to manually build Push support for each app with the Push Module. This lets you send push messages to Android and iOS devices as well as web browsers. Send plain text, HTML, images or even files notifications. Engage users and keep them up-to-date with the most essential information.

Key Capabilities

Apple and Android

Send push notifications via GCM or APNS.

Media Push

Send media files, HTML notifications with badge support and decide whether to send silent notificiations.

Upload Certificates

Upload your certificate for each app.

Send to and from Clients

Send push notifications with logic integrated with the ApiOmat Dashboard, native Modules and the SDKs.

How it works

Push messages can be activated per app backend when adding the Push module. The complete sending logic is included in ApiOmat and the generated SDKs. Only certificates have to be configured before sending the first message.

On the client side, IDs of the mobile devices running the app are attached to a user data model, which are used to identify push message receivers on a username/email address level. After this registration, users can receive and even send messages. Dashboard will also show how many push messages were sent successfully to the apps users.

Sending of push messages can be done in various ways: First, the dashboard offers a control screen for sending highly configurable messages to one or multiple users. Second, the client SDK offers the possibility to send messages from user to user. And third, sending messages is also possible in native module develpment to send push notifications automatically and combine push notifications with events from connected services.
